Engineered identification,
from one garage to ten million bands.
Ultrastrap was founded on a simple frustration: there was no manufacturer that combined hospital-grade reliability with the speed festival operators needed. So we built one.

In 2009, founder Maya Reyes was running event logistics for a local nonprofit. The wristbands they ordered arrived three weeks late, in the wrong color, with the sponsor's logo missing. She refunded the sponsor out of her own pocket — and resolved to never let that happen to another operator.
Two weeks later she bought a used thermal-transfer printer on Craigslist, found a Tyvek supplier in New Jersey, and shipped her first 500 bands out of a Houston garage. Today, that one printer is a 40,000 sq ft facility running 24/6, with 64 operators, 11 production lines, and a quality team that hand-inspects every job over 5,000 units.
We still answer the phone the same day. We still hold inventory of 21 stock colors. And we still believe a wristband isn't a commodity — it's the first impression your venue makes on every guest who walks through the gate.
How we got here
Founded in a garage
Maya Reyes prints the first 500 Tyvek bands for a local 5K, using a single thermal-transfer printer.
First hospital contract
Memorial Health System adopts our latex-free patient ID bands across three facilities.
Silicone & woven launch
Custom silicone debossing and full-color jacquard weaving come online in our Texas facility.
RFID program live
We ship the first 1M RFID wristbands to a major US theme park for cashless attractions.
ISO 9001 certified
Our quality management system passes audit. Every band scanned, every defect traced.
10 million bands a year
We hit 10M annual units shipped across hospitals, parks, festivals, and Fortune 500 conferences.

"If a hospital can trust it on a newborn's wrist, anyone can trust it at their gate."
Maya Reyes leads our product, manufacturing, and customer experience teams. She still personally reviews every hospital and theme-park account onboarding — because for her, the bar is set by the most demanding customer, not the easiest.
